Katsina To Support Nigeria Law School

KATSINA – Katsina State government has promised to assist the Nigeria Law School, Bagauda, Kano campus, to overcome its challenges to make the institution conducive for learning.
Governor Aminu Bello Masari gave the assurance when he received the management of the school led by Dr. James Agaba, the Deputy Director General, on a courtesy visit to the Government House, Katsina, on Monday.
Masari who expressed concern about the painted situation in the school, assured that government would despite its lean resources look into the request with a view to helping to address the situation.
He, however, expressed government’s worry and concern on how Federal establishments rely solely on state governments, stressing that despite its support to the institutions, the burden was quite enormous.
The governor, therefore, urged the school management to come up with a simpler design to reduce cost, directing them to link up with the state Chief Judge in channeling their request for prompt action.
Dr. James Agaba, the Deputy Director General of the school, earlier solicited the support of the state government to the challenges of infrastructure deficit faced by the institution.
Agaba who noted that the competition
was very high, said the need to involve all stakeholders to assist had become necessary as 18 students now squat in a hostel room which does not augur well for learning.
While appreciating the contributions of the previous state government to the institution, he solicited the support of the present administration to assist in making learning conducive in the school.
