LAGOS – Team Abel, a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), has partnered with the Osundairo family to take free medical outreach to the popular Computer Village in Ikeja, Lagos.
This development, the NGO noted, was for the benefit of traders and other Lagosians who ordinarily find it difficult to access routine medical tests because of time or financial constraints.
The programme themed ‘Community Free Health Care Outreach’ took place on Thursday at the popular Computer Village in Ikeja where traders and other citizens in their numbers availed themselves of free medical checkups and drugs provided by medical doctors, nurses andlaboratoryscientists.
Bola Osundairo, amemberof Team Abel, sponsors of the programme, said that his organisation was inspired to undertake the progranme because of poor health facilities in the country and also challenges faced by the less privileged members of the society in accessing healthcare.
He said health was wealth and that was the reason he would want to appeal to the government to step up its medical interventions for Nigerians since a good number of people were really in need of the services but challenged by finance.
