Mrs. Oluyemisi Okunlola for Burial, Jan. 15 as OYSCATECH Management pays condolence visit to Former Deputy Rector and Adeegbe Family
The family of Mrs. Oluyemisi Okunlola has announced Friday, January 15, 2021 as the burial date for the wife of former Deputy Rector of the Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology, Igboora.
Dr. Okunlola disclosed this while addressing the Management of Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology, Igboora who paid him a condolence visit.
According to Dr. Okunlola, the Burial service will hold at Glory Baptist Church, Wakajaye, Ibadan by 11.00am.
Dr. Okunlola called on friends and family to join them at the programme.
The Management of the Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology, Igboora led by the acting Rector, Mr. Olaniyi Adekunle on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 were among sympathizers who paid a condolence visit to the former Deputy Rector of the institution, Dr. Ariyo Okunlola over the painful exit of his wife, Mrs. Oluyemisi Okunlola who bids this world farewell on Sunday, January 3, 2021.
Speaking on behalf of the Management, the acting Rector who spoke in an emotional laden voice appealed to Dr. Okunlola to take heart, while praying God to stand by him and the entire family that the deceased left behind.
Dr. Okunlola used the opportunity to thank the Management, Staff, friends and family for their condolence visits and messages. He prayed God to satisfy everyone with long life while calling on the college leadership to intensify their prayers for the institution and Igboora land as a whole.
Until her death, Mrs. Oluyemisi Okunlola was a Head Mistress at Community Primary School, Oki Pataki, Ibadan.
She was aged 56.
Meanwhile, the Management of Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology, Igboora also visited the families of Late Chief Matthew Adeegbe, a notable political leader in Ibarapa Central Local Government and beyond.
Chief Matthew Folorunso Adeegbe transited into glory on January 5, 2021.
Chief Adeegbe who trained as a teacher having attended Methodist Teachers College, Ifaki Ekiti in 1949 and Wesley College, Elekuro, Ibadan in 1951 served the nation in different capacities.
At the age of 34, Chief Adeegbe became a Councilor in Ibarapa West Local Council (1963-1966) and at 36 years, he became member House of Representative between 1965 and 1966. Between 1966 and 1969, he was Member, Western Region Consultative Forum, Ibadan as well as Councilor Ibarapa Local Government between 1977 and 1979, he was a Member of Constituent Assembly.
The Late Chief Adeegbe was born on December 20, 1921 to the family of Eni-Ayenwu Compound, Iberekodo, Iberekodo, Igboora.
In his condolence message, the Rector, Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology, Igboora, Mr Olaniyi Adekunle described the Late Chief Adeegbe as a notable leader who contributed his quota to the development of the community and the Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology, Igboora in Particular.
He said Chief Adeegbe would be greatly missed, while praying God to grant the departed a peaceful rest.
