It was a time to showcase young entrepreneurs and students of Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology, Igboora who have been trained in various vocations and have acquired skills as entrepreneurs.

Speaking at the second annual entrepreneurship trade fair organized by Vocational Skills and Entrepreneurship Study Centre (VSESC), the Acting Rector of the institution, Mr. Isiaka Adekunle revealed that, “The institution will not relent in its effort to contribute significantly to food sufficiency, self-employment and innovations”.

The Acting Rector revealed that the college aims at producing skilled manpower to boost the agriculture and technological advancement and management in the country.

The trade fair was tagged “Building Capacity to Create and Manage Business”.

The Director of Senator Adeyemo Women Empowerment Cooperation (SAWEC), Mrs. Bola Adeyemo who was one of the Resource Persons revealed that, entrepreneurship development remains the most critical key to national growth. She expressed satisfaction at the level of students’ creativity.

She also commended the institution for being a platform that trains youth in the fields of agriculture, vocational skills and entrepreneurship in order to increase the nation’s economy.

She therefore advised the young entrepreneurs to be diligent in their studies, remain focused, determined and be goal getters.

Mrs. Janet Olaniyan, the Director OYSCATECH Entrepreneurship Centre explained that the Federal Government wants students to be self reliant upon graduation while explaining that the institution will not relent in empowering students. She hinted that entrepreneurship course is mandatory for any student of the institution. She therefore urged the students to remain visionary and innovative as they have displayed at the trade fair.

Dignitaries at the event include; the representative of the speaker of the Oyo State, management, the royal father of the day, Baba Aso of Igbole Apostle Olusanjo Ojo, Mr. Sijuwade and the host of others.
