The Governing Council of the Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology (OYSCATECH), Igboora, has felicitated with the immediate past Rector of the institution, Professor Gbemiga Adewale as he turns 60.
Chairman of the Council, Professor Lateef Sanni on behalf of members of the Governing Council, extolled the virtues of Professor Adewale, describing him as an astute, consummate and responsive scholar and administrator.
Professor Sanni commended Professor Adewale for his positive contributions to OYSCATECH, Igboora while serving as the rector of the institution.
He described his sojourn at the institution as remarkable and memorable.
The Council prayed for God’s guidance and protection for the former rector as he celebrates his diamond jubilee and charged not to relent in giving his best to humanity.
RECTOR, OTHERS PAY GLOWING TRIBUTES
Meanwhile, the Acting Rector of OYSCATECH, Mr Olaniyi Adekunle and the entire management team of the institution have continued to pay glowing tributes to the celebrant for his visionary leadership and administrative acumen while serving as the rector of the institution.
In their congratulatory messages, they described Professor Adewale as an exceptional leader who turned the fortunes of the learning citadel around.
Mr Adekunle described Professor Adewale as a consummate administrator who used his wealth of experience in transforming the institution.
“Prof. Adewale is an exemplary leader that I am proud of. I am grateful for the opportunity to work with him. As he turned 60, may the good Lord continue to sustain him and satisfy him on every side,” he said.”
Other management team members congratulated the former Rector for the opportunity to witness the diamond age.
Staff and students’ welfare
They commended him for staff and students’ welfare coupled with the enabling environment that he created for all while serving as the rector of Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology, Igboora.
The management and Staff applauded him for developing and increasing the academic programmes of the institution from five to over thirty.
They prayed God to grant him more fruitful years in good health.
